Lemos&Crane has been researching prison policy and practice for many years and are one of the leading researchers in the field. We have built a network of people working in prisons on www.prisoneractionnet.org.uk, a free website commissioned by the Monument Trust, one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts.
Gerard Lemos is now writing a book about prison policy and practice to be published in autumn 2012, focusing on long term desistance from crime, inclusion and citizenship for ex-offenders.
We are looking for a research assistant with a post-graduate legal, criminology or social science qualification, excellent writing and data analysis skills to work on the book. You will also be expected to assist with other research projects being undertaken by the firm.
You will be paid £50 a day and the contract is initially for three months, with the possibility of a further three months' extension. You will be working in Highgate, London, N6
